Today Is The Day For Change

The change didn’t stop. As everyone received this new fire for Jesus, they began reaching out to people they haven’t spoke to in a long time. Some even reached out to people they didn’t know. Lives were being touched in the process. I don’t think my son knew that his decision that day to let Jesus become his Lord and Savior would make that big of impact on the people around him. I didn’t know either.

The Difference Between Praise and Worship

Worship, if I had to come up with a basic definition, is properly acknowledging who God is. For starters, I just want to focus on his holiness. God’s holiness is the one thing that separates us from him. God is loving, but even a lost person can be a little bit loving sometimes.

Is it wrong to use musical instruments in Christian worship services?

To these strict interpreters of the Bible, acappela singing is the only acceptable manner that is pleasing in the sight of God. It is prudent therefore to examine the Holy Scriptures to determine the proper guidance in this matter of faith practice.

What is the State of the Christian

Christians must examine themselves in light of the word of God. “I wish Mr. (or Mrs.) X could have heard that sermon. It’s just what he needed,” said Mr. Y as he shook my hand after the worship service. The state of the Christian is sad when Christians avoid self-examination.

Suffer No Harm

Now, if you’re like me and suffer from a severe phobia of the slithering kind, our carnal minds would have us believe that being bitten by a viper IS considered suffering harm! But, praise the Lord, we are not slaves to the mind of our flesh. If you continue reading, you’ll see that Paul was able to continue his ministry and suffered no ill effects from the bite.

Did the sunrise chase away starry dreams? Was it a day like today? From mountain summits to valley floors, surely all creation joined nature’s refrain as the Almighty’s chorus sprang to life. This voiceless chorus sang utopian strains of heavenly rhapsody while lambs and lions feasted on spring leaves.
