On the last afternoon of our trip, we drove the long hours of flat prairie lands toward Tulsa. The Oklahoma sky darkened with heavy, purple-black thunderclouds hanging very low all along the horizon. From the highway, I watched the ominous black line of clouds quietly with a leery eye. (more…)

Yes, it is somehow very easy to say it, in truth, we can find it hard at times…and especially when we want something, we love to hold onto something we love, we want…and if we pray like this and really mean it in our prayer, that means we let God to have His say, not us. It seems the older we get, the more we worry. Is it because there is more to worry about in the world today or because there is more that can happen to us as we age? Perhaps it’s because we feel helpless as our health and strength slip away. Whatever the reason, there is no reason for us to worry. (more…)
