God is moving throughout our land

Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of the sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Sometimes it may seem like everything around us including the world is falling apart and coming to an end. It may seem like all hope is being lost. But we have to look at life and the things around us from Gods perspective. God has a system in place to deal with sin and the effects of sin on mankind and the creation. Many things in life happen as a direct result of people indulging in those things that God has said to stay away from. Sometimes we can be victims of other people’s sin and have it affect us in a negative way. Sin effects all of us in some way or another. One direct result of sin is that we will all die. Sin brought about death to all mankind. That was the verdict that God instituted when man took a turn for the worst. But we must not let the story end there. God has instituted a redemption plan that restored man back to his original state of being with God. That great gift of salvation came through Jesus the Son of God. What a plan, the story of lost hopeless man with no chance of restoring himself gets the break of a life time. The agreement goes as such, if man would recognize his state of being, and be willing to acknowledge God through His Son Jesus, man then could be restored. Once we except Jesus into our life, our relationship with God is restored and everything changes. Now that I have the Spirit of God and the life of God living in me, I am no longer a being enslaved to the effects of sin , but now I have eternal qualities that will allow me to transition from this temporary existence into an eternal dwelling place where I will live for all eternity.

Part of the redemption plan that God has instituted for man here on earth also includes the change of conditions for the believer, the child of God. There are many benefits here on earth that accompanies being a believer. We don’t have to wait until we get to heaven and enter eternity in order to experience the kingdom of God. We can be kingdom now people as it fits in God’s plan of redemption. If we look at the gospels and how Jesus interacted with those who were suffering from all kinds of different life issues, we don’t see Jesus telling them, hay, things are going to be this way until you inter into the kingdom of God, no that’s not what Jesus said at all. Jesus was constantly touching and changing people’s lives in big ways here and now. You can read for yourself the encounters that Jesus had with people who were completely hopeless and out of options. Jesus did many things that are completely unexplainable in the natural since of things. We call those things that Jesus did, miracles, something happened that was not supposed to happen. People walked who wasn’t supposed to walk, people were cleansed of diseases that was not supposed to be cleansed, the blind, crippled, lame, possessed, and on and on you go with what Jesus did in the lives of people here on earth. So that would lead me to believe that the benefits of the Kingdom of God are available now. Jesus set the example so why would I allow someone to explain away what we know that Jesus did here in this life. This was not what Jesus did for people after this life but what Jesus did for people in this life.

Sometimes we allow people to teach us things about God that don’t represent the entire council of God. Sometimes we need to look into this for ourselves. Theology can help us or hurt us, the study of God don’t always draw the conclusions that support biblical inspired truth. There are many well-meaning people who draw wrong conclusions about the idea of the benefits of God here and now. When we read the gospels we can believe that Jesus will do for us as He did for them.
