Love of Money

By Sundaresh Venugopal A question often arises in ones mind as to whether money is good or evil and those unlearned and unschooled in the bible are regrettably chided for allegedly misquoting the biblical adage,”Love of money is the root of all evil” as simply, “Money is the root of all evil”. In my opinion, the later vituperation voiced by someone seduced and scorched by money rings more true than the similar insinuation contained in the former euphemism. (more…)

Where Is God When I Need Him?

By Henry Miranda Psalms 42:3 (NKJV)
“My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually
say to me, “Where is your God?” How many times have you said that? We all think that when we need something God is not there to hear our need. We think that our needs are very important most of the time, and we want to hear from God right away! But God knows the right time for everything. (more…)

God Is Our Reward!

by Steve Countryman
John 14:2-3 2“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” God speaking Psalm 50:10 “for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.” Haggai 2:8 “The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”

Break forth your praises

Let out your shout of joy
Let out your shout of thankfulness
To the one and only Almighty God

Holding on to the Word of Life

By Jerry Ousley Some people have a lot of trouble with wisdom teeth. My daughter has had to have two taken out and soon she may have to have the other two removed. When I was in the army I worked with a chaplain who had the same problem. He had two removed at once and I witnessed the pain he went through afterwards (I remember because he sort of took his bad mood out on me).

Living for Today

By Jennifer Rubino Champion All bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. (Ephesians 4:31-32HCSB) (more…)

Who will ‘Go’ and Love for me?

By Jacky Julyan I am always with My Children helping them to love their children and to speak of Me. I, Jesus, use few words. I am Love. God is Love. Is It Stealing?

By Jim Schicatano You are about to go on a dream vacation, and decide you need to purchase a camera. Being a novice at taking pictures, and still mindful of your meager budget (thanks to Wall Street, China, the Republicans, the Democrats, the Climate Change Deniers, or anyone else you wish to blame), you purchase a camera that is both functional and within your price range. The vacation goes well, and you capture many wonderful moments on film (sorry, digital files). When you return home, you realize that there is little chance you will be using a camera again anytime soon. (more…)

Interpretation of Tongues

By Donna Kazenske 1 Cor. 12:7-10 – “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom, through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another the gift of faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.” (more…)

Jonah and the Fish

By Gregory John Monroe Skeptics view the travel story about the prophet Jonah as not real. They’ve determined the whole account to be an allegory because of the episode in which he’s inside the fish’s belly for three days and three nights. However, there are reasons that give credence to this being an actual event. (more…)

Songs of Praise

By Don Pedal What loud music! Have you ever been in a service where you felt drowned in sound — sometimes to the point that it is painful to the ears? Have you ever gotten angry and thought, what is wrong with these people?
Many of us sit quietly through the service and do not return. We might even feel inwardly guilty about our feelings and are not sure how to deal with them. (more…)

By Sue Darling SEEKING TRUE HUMILITY Psalm 145:14, The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. The secret in serving God is to remain humble in times of great success or in failure. Being honest and admit to God from your heart that without Him you are nothing. That is true humility. When we fall we tend to think we are so bad that God cannot forgive us. That is false humility. (more…)

The Word Made Flesh

By Jacqui Julyan There will be many people today, certainly where I live, doing a witness walk for Jesus Christ and the celebration of Easter. I have done a couple of marches for Jesus over my twenty nine years of being a Christian, but most of other marches have been in the ordinary every day walking by myself or with my dog. I speak of Jesus not just at Christmas or Easter but whenever the Holy Spirit moves me. (more…)

Up From The Grave He Arose

By Tesh Njokanma Burial ceremonies are one event most people don’t look forward to attending. Even if the age of the close relative being buried is 80, 85, 90 or a 100 plus, you still wish the person was alive and around. It’s common to see a person who had appeared composed and calm all through a funeral service, to break out in tears when the person being buried is lowered to the grave. The reason being that at that moment, it dawns on you that this person is gone and completely cut off from you. (more…)

The Resurrection Message

By Grace Tom-Lawyer “…..But go tell His disciples and Peter….”Mark 16:7 New King James Version When someone is critically ill in the hospital and approaching the final moments, the family is usually sent for. This is done with the aim of providing them the opportunity of hearing the last words of their loved ones which is deemed to be very important. All the writers of the Gospel shower importance also on the concluding words of Jesus both at the Last Supper and on the Cross. It is true wisdom then to put an equal degree of attention to the message that he gives either directly or indirectly through the angels after his resurrection(Matthew 28:1-8,Mark 16:1-8,Luke 24:1-12&John 20:1-10). Cry Before the Cross

By PamFord Davis “Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, ‘Sit here while I pray.’ And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.’ (more…)

He Will Reign

By PamFord Davis “Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him. And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews (Matthew 27:27-29 NKJ)!” (more…)
