Romans 4:25

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

1. “Who was delivered for our offences”

a. Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities”

2. “and was raised again for our justification.”

a. [New King James Version] “and was raised because of our justification.”

b. [New Living Translation] “and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.”

c. [Young's Literal Translation] “and was raised up because of our being declared righteous.”

d. [New American Standard Version] and was raised because of our justification.”

e. The NKJV and Young’s translation have it right.

When we were justified, Jesus was raised.
