Through Me
“I praise you Father for all of the wonderful things that you do and what you choose to do through me today!” It is not all about me and what I can do but what God can do through me. Getting your eyes off of yourself and your selfish desires and wants and focussing on what God wants to do through you that impacts people and life around you. It starts as a daily attitude that you wrap your mind around every morning. How does your day start? Do spend some time with God in the morning to help start your day off right? Just as you would prepare for an important interview or presentation you should prepare yourself to meet the day head on as one who “is more than a conquer”. Putting on the mindset of Christ every morning is how you adjust your attitude. (more…)
The Seven-Year Reign Of Antichrist Deception
The seven-year reign of antichrist is a popular prophetic teaching that blatantly contradicts the Bible, for the Scriptures clearly state that the antichrist reigns for three and one-half years, not seven years (Revelation 13:5; Revelation 11:1-7). In fact, the idea of a seven-year reign of antichrist was arrived at by manipulating Daniel’s seventy-week prophecy concerning Israel and the Messiah in Daniel 9:24-27. (more…)
Unfaithful Pastors And Leaders: How Should We Respond To Them
Posted in: bible studies Tags: Apostles, bible, bible studies, New Testament, Old Testament, priests, prophets
Although our natural inclination is to look to our religious leaders for spiritual insight and direction, we should not be surprised to find them adrift in compromise and sin. The Bible reveals that the religious hierarchy has gone astray throughout biblical history. There has been a long line of unfaithful and disobedient priests, prophets, apostles, teachers and ministers throughout both Old and New Testament times; furthermore, we are told that this problem will continue to worsen as we approach the end of time. The Kingdom of Heaven
The Kingdom of Heaven
The message is still the same. “Repent; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the Apostles all preached this same message. Most of the churches that are mentioned in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 needed to repent of something, or suffer the consequences. To repent is to think differently, or to reconsider. God loves the world and wants all of us to repent. (John 3:16, II Peter 3:9) (more…)
THE ORIGIN OF THE UNIVERSE, THE EARTH AND OF LIFE ON EARTH
By Sandor Balog
1. Throughout human history many thoughtful men have asked themselves the question: how did the universe, the earth and life on earth come into being? Many explanations and theories have been suggested that either completely contradict one another or contradict the word of the Bible. What, therefore, is the true explanation?
This study attempts to provide an answer to this question starting from the premise that every single word of the Bible is true. (more…)
Psalm 91
Psalm 91
By Steve Countryman
This is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. When read as written the message lists God’s promises that gives the reader a hope and a future. You can read this chapter from your Bible as a prayer out loud for someone who is sick or ill by inserting their name where the Bible has the word “you” and “him”. It will boost your faith and trust in the Lord as you hear yourself proclaim God’s will. The other morning I read it as a prayer inserting my name in it. Then I took it one step higher and read it with my name inserted while addressing it as a NOW word. When you read it as a NOW word you bring the future into the NOW and it empowers your faith! Read this out-loud and inset your name where it says to. Do this over and over again and you will see what I mean. (more…)
The Book of Daniel chapters 8-11
The Old Testament Book of Daniel is probably one of the more interesting narratives in the entire canon of Scripture, with the possible exception of the enigmatic Books of Ezekiel, and Revelation in the New Testament. There is quite a remarkable connection between the two books [Daniel and Revelation] because the narratives overlap in several places; especially in these last few chapters. The most notable passage is found in the ninth chapter, which refers to “Messiah the Prince” and most Fundamental Christian Theologians and Messianic Jewish scholarship believe 1 Daniel 9: 24-25 to refer to the person of Jesus [Yeshua] of Nazareth, the holy seed of the Virgin Mary, came into the world around 6 B.C. in the city of Bethlehem, in Judea. And while this is a very convincing and plausible interpretation, yet, the context has to be taken into consideration by reading chapters 8 thru 11, for the most part. (more…)
Unity of Leadership
By Dale Linton
1Corinthians 9:7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
The planter of this vineyard represents someone in leadership. If this leader doesn’t eat the fruit thereof…,they are spending unwisely by purchasing food the business is already supplying. However, that’s not the most foolish outcome of not eating the fruit. What is being sacrificed by selling all the fruit? What’s in the fruit that is vital to the operation……seeds! A vineyard with no seeds will cease to grow. Rather, it will shrink because trees die off and cease to produce the amount of fruit they once did. (more…)
God’s Guidance (Part 2)
We must be honest enough to admit that the Bible does not address every issue that we face in the twentieth century. What kind of car should we buy? Where should we go to college? Modern Christians face many issues and concerns that did not even exist at the time the Bible was written. Nor does the Bible address personal issues that each of us face individually. Whom should we marry? Should we marry at all? What career path should we follow? What about these decisions about which the Bible says nothing? (more…)
God’s Guidance (Part 1)
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: bible, christian, Christianity, god, Jesus, Old Testament, Religion, scriptures
Christians are often called ‘people of the Book’, meaning they take the Bible as the authoritative guide for their lives. Many Christians live out their daily walk relying on the Bible to be the Book they can go to for answers. Many believe that the Bible contains guidelines for every possible situation they may encounter. A closer look at this issue would show us this is not quite the case. Let us set aside what we may have been taught, or what we may have heard at some time in our lives, and see what the Bible actually teaches on this subject. (more…)
1 Peter 1:13
By Don Costello
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1. “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind”
a. gird [328 * anazonnymi] [Zodhiates: Occurs only in 1 Peter 1:13, where it is applied to the mind being held in constant prepraration. It is taken from the custom of the eastern nations who, when they had occasion to exert themselves (as in journeying, running, etc.), used to bind up their long flowing garments by a girdle or belt about their hips. [Vine: the Christian is to have his mental powers alert in expectation of Christ's coming.] [Bullinger: to gird up as with a belt.] (more…)
Deadly Distractions
There are so many things that pull at our attention these days.
Sports, television, video gamesit seems that we have perfected the art of wasting time. Even legitimate duties can so overwhelm us that we lose sight of the more important things in life. This busyness can be deadly to our spiritual life since it can steal our focus away from God.
The Bible cautions us to use the time we have wisely:
making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16 NIV) (more…)
An Overview Of Revelation

In order to provide the reader with a basic understanding of Revelation, the following is being presented here as an overview or summary of that most essential and final book of Scripture. New Year, New Heart, New Life
As we begin the new year, our thoughts turn to the resolutions about what we can do to make it better.
We ponder the best ways to lose weight, get healthy, balance our budget, prepare for the future, afford the things we think we need, or repair or improve our relationships with others.
Indeed these are worthy endeavors, but there is a deeper, more fundamental change with which we should be concerned.
A change of the heart.
No matter what external changes we make, the Bible say that our hearts are turned away from God, we are in rebellion against Him, and only He can fix us. (more…)

Genesis 14:1
And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
