Prayer of the Lord’s Witness

Father, I ask you to help me keep an attitude of thankfulness. Forgive me for every time I’ve taken Your blessings for granted every time I’ve abused Your grace. Let me be ever grateful for the abundant mercy You’ve shown me. You are worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. O, God, let me be like the one leper (out of the ten) who returned to give thanks to his Healer.

So also is the infant Christian. Every prayer he prays, God Almighty being the Father seems to answer immediately. He begins to see and enjoy the unsearchable riches in Christ Jesus; though having lots of questions in mind. To such did Peter admonish: “Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation” (1Peter 2:2 Amplified).

In Moses first encounter with Pharaoh Moses should have learned a lesson we all need to learn in this present age. Pharaoh has his own gods and he considers himself a god and he is not going to respond to the demands of the gods of another nation or the demands of a king of another nation.

Most day trekkers don’t come here, just the more adventurous hikers. I don’t consider myself a real hiker by any means but there is just a real hunger to want to go higher. This seems to echo a calling within my heart. In the quietness of the windy breeze blowing on these upper hills I listen for a whisper. I can’t make out the words yet but I know it’s calling me closer.

Moses, while it is not stated in the Bible, was given a command similar to the one given to Abraham. Abraham was told to leave his country, his relatives, and his father’s house. Moses is told to leave his father-in-law’s flock, his family, and the land of Midian.
Miracle Makes No Belief
Undoubtedly, Miracles are great, spectacular, mind-bowing, supernatural, convicting and convincing. But they are not a daily occurrence and we should not expect them daily.
God’s Covenant with Moses

Moses’ response to the Lord telling him, He is sending Moses is one that seems to imply the Lord does not know what He is doing. Moses asks the Lord, one of those why me questions, when he asks the Lord “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?”
