The Law of Moses was given through the administration of angels
Posted in: bible studies Tags: angels, bible, bible studies, Christ, christian, Christianity, commandments, israel, Judaism, lord, Torah, worship
It is commonly believed that the Law [Torah], which is the foundation stone of Judaism and indirectly, Christianity, was given to Moses on fiery, Mount Sinai came from God; but in actuality it came through the administration of the angels of God. Of course, it is believed that these commandments, statutes and ordinances were directed by God Himself and therefore were obligatory for the children of Israel to observe and practice in the worship of their LORD. Elements of Spiritual Growth: Making the Relationship The Focus
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: christian, Christianity, god, Jesus, Religion and Spirituality, spirit, spiritual
By Greg Baker
Taking your spirituality to the next level requires certain ingredients. Without these, we can’t achieve the level of spirituality that makes Christianity meaningful and profitable to both the Christian and the Kingdom of God. This element of spiritual growth depends on making the relationship you have with Jesus the focus. (more…)
Born Again

By Don Pedal
Many years ago, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of the water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to the flesh but the Spirit gives birth to the spirit”. (John 3:5).
Two simple words, born again, yet they are two of the most profound and important words in scripture. (more…)
3 Things Forgiveness Is Not
Forgiveness is probably one of the most misunderstood, and most controversial, topics in all of Christianity. You wouldn’t think forgiveness could be controversial, but if you ever talk with a person who’s had something truly vile happen to them, you’ll find that the idea of forgiving hits a deep nerve in them. I think this is because most people, including many preachers, don’t understand what forgiveness really is. The end result is that Christians end up with wrong ideas of what they have to do in order to forgive, and they don’t want to do those things, so they don’t forgive. I’m here to explain what forgiveness is not, to smash those myths and show how easy forgiveness can be if you don’t try to attach man-made conditions to it. (more…)
Women Pastors And Elders
Women pastors and elders are now being ordained throughout most Christian denominations. However, some still maintain that men and women have been assigned different roles in the Church, with men being designated by God for leadership; although the majority insists that this “male leadership” exclusivity does not apply to the New Testament Church. Unity of Leadership
By Dale Linton
1Corinthians 9:7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
The planter of this vineyard represents someone in leadership. If this leader doesn’t eat the fruit thereof…,they are spending unwisely by purchasing food the business is already supplying. However, that’s not the most foolish outcome of not eating the fruit. What is being sacrificed by selling all the fruit? What’s in the fruit that is vital to the operation……seeds! A vineyard with no seeds will cease to grow. Rather, it will shrink because trees die off and cease to produce the amount of fruit they once did. (more…)
Christ Cares
Mark 4:39
How do we know Christ cares? Let’s examine some recorded facts of Christ caring for all creation. First, He shed Himself of His glory to suffer human humiliation and limitations even to the point of death. Second, Christ came to earth for the sole purpose of providing salvation for mankind. Salvation is made possible through His shed blood on Calvary’s cross, reconciling humanity back to God, the Father. (more…)
God’s Guidance (Part 1)
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: bible, christian, Christianity, god, Jesus, Old Testament, Religion, scriptures
Christians are often called ‘people of the Book’, meaning they take the Bible as the authoritative guide for their lives. Many Christians live out their daily walk relying on the Bible to be the Book they can go to for answers. Many believe that the Bible contains guidelines for every possible situation they may encounter. A closer look at this issue would show us this is not quite the case. Let us set aside what we may have been taught, or what we may have heard at some time in our lives, and see what the Bible actually teaches on this subject. (more…)
How will you raise your children?
By Steve Thomas
In life, there are winners and losers. In school, there is a right answer, and a wrong answer. Everything comes at you in groups of two.
In the Beatitudes, Jesus spoke of everything in two’s. There was either a right way, or a wrong way. In life, there was, and are, no in-betweens. The same philosophy applies to the raising of children. (more…)
New Legs
Galatians 5:16 says: ” walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” But how do I walk by the Spirit? How do my daily actions take on that aroma of Christ, and what does walking by the Spirit even look like?
First, Paul’s guidance here suggests that the reader is actively seeking a way to resist the flesh and that the Holy Spirit is living inside him, so this is not guidance for outsiders or nonbelievers. In fact, before I opened the door to Jesus, I had no real hope of not carrying out my flesh’s desires. My corrupt heart wanted to do them; why would I resist? I needed a new heart before walking according to anything other than my flesh was going to take place, and Jesus accomplished that work once He came in (for more on this idea, see my article titled “The Christian’s Heart”). Looking at the twelve sons of Jacob entrance into the land of Egypt
Exodus 1: 1-6
Now these are the names of the children of Israel who came to Egypt; each man and his household came with Jacob: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah; Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin; Dan, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. All those who were descendants of Jacob were seventy persons (for Joseph was in Egypt already). And Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation. (more…)
Live Life Today God Will Take Care Of Tomorrow
By Pastor Reinhard Westphal
What is the secret of living a fulfilled and satisfied Christian life each and every day? You have to understand, that today is a new day. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here yet. All you have is the now! Whatever happened yesterday, and whatever will happen tomorrow NOW is where you are. There are three important factors to consider in order to live each day filled with joy, peace and satisfaction: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Let everything that has breath thank the Lord
By May Olusola
That fact that we are alive, and healthy is enough reason to give God all the glory for what He is doing in our midst. How many people started this year hopeful for the best but are shockingly six feet under today? How many people had to change their lifestyle because they became unemployed and have stayed unemployed for many months? How many people who lived lavish lifestyles before now have lost their wealth and are now victims of poverty? Talk less of those that came under so much persecution and lost their lives or body parts because of the gospel that many of us take for granted. I can go on and on but I am sure these are enough reasons to provoke you to begin thanking God unconditionally. (more…)
Methodists look towards Communion in England, Lutherans in America with Methodists and Episcopalians
by Peter Menkin
In an historic move, the Methodist Church in Great Britain “is on its way to rejoining the Church of England” The “Telegraph” newspaper report from the United Kingdom by Martin Beckford goes on to say, “The head of the non-conformist denomination said it was ready to come back to the national church after 200 years apart, if it would help spread the word of God.” (more…)
