Satan’s Same Four Lie to Enslave Man
Satan has used the same 4 lies to enslave man throughout all time.
1. You shall be as gods or be gods
Genesis 3:4-6 (New International Version)
4″You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman.5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. (more…)
Keeping your faith
Keeping your faith
By Fergus Davar
Hi people, I write again and again from this Sunday’s word in Church. You may make out the theme of this article from the subject but I won’t mention it till I get to the end.
I won’t be quoting much scripture to keep this article short and readable; this is a first from me. I’ll be talking from 1 Kings 18 & 19. Here is a little background. The tribe of Judah with their land has split from Israel. Israel has drifted from God & worships false gods & idols like Baal. The King of Israel then was Ahab and his wife was Jezebel. The famous prophet of God then was Elijah. (more…)
Christianity Is Not A Religion
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: christian, Christianity, Faith, god, Holy Spirit, Jesus, Jesus Christ, Religion
The question comes up time and time again. I have made it a primary issue in the arena of ideas concerning Christianity versus the religion of Atheism that Christianity, as it is supposed to be defined, is not a religion.
Christianity is no more a religion than marriage is. Christianity is a relationship between a person and the creator of the universe based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is a real, personal relationship. The person actually knows God on a personal, intimate, dynamic level. They interact with each other. They speak with each other. The person is led through life by God in a very intricate way. (more…)
Should we call God “Father” or “Daddy”?

A couple of weeks ago, I sat in on a Bible study taught by an Israeli fellow named Baruch. The study itself was an exposition of Joel, which was very interesting in its own right, but one of the things that stuck with me was actually a side note that Baruch mentioned offhandedly. (more…)
Hopeless Battle

Are you fighting a hopeless battle? We do not need to be on a foreign field to be entrapped and in desperate need of deliverance. Some fight the battle of addictions. Others battle loneliness or depression. All of mankind battles the lure of sin. Is our battle hopeless? (more…)
The Relationship Between Fear And Anger
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: bible, Christianity, Faith, god, psalms, Religion and Spirituality
By Greg Baker
Psalms 90:11 – Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Our greatest fears are the result of what we do not understand. Our minds have the capacity to create the worst scenario possible for a given situation. This creates fear. Fear, more often than not, creates anger. (more…)
Did Luke the Physician Write the Book of Acts?
Posted in: bible studies Tags: Acts, apostle, bible studies, Christianity, Faith, lord, New Testament
Tradition has it that the author of the gospel of “LUKE” and “ACTS” of the Apostles were written by the same individual, and that is by, Luke the ‘beloved’ Physician. Although it is difficult to prove with absolute certainty, there may have in fact been more than just a single source for the events recorded in the book of ACTS. Almost the entire first half of the book highlights the ministry of the Apostle Peter, and there is no internal or external evidence that Peter and Luke ever knew each other.
Not only that, but the author of ACTS would most likely be acquainted with both Peter and Paul. Some have argued that the Greek text used in the gospel of LUKE and ACTS is more of the classical style and more advanced than some of ‘KOINE’(common Greek) used in other New Testament writings; but considering Paul’s ministry and making converts from Hellenistic Jews among the epicenter of Greek culture in Europe and the civilized world at that time, then it should not come as too much of a surprise. Forgiveness is Already Yours so Stop Asking for It
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: bible, Christian Living, Christians, Faith, forgiveness, god, Jesus Christ, lord, Religion and Spirituality
There are very few things that bother me more than I when I hear someone call themselves a “Christian” and a “leader” and then move on to teach others certain doctrines that completely conflict with the Gospel message. Just last night I went to a men’s meeting for the first time that I was invited to. The Lord instructed me to just be silent and to listen. What I heard was quite disturbing. (more…)
Bought with a Price – Twice Mine
By Jerry Ousley
I always liked zoos. When we were children we came up with a wonderful idea; we decided that we would catch all the animals we could and set up a zoo in our backyard. We would proudly display the animals and charge for people to come in and see them. Of course our animals were limited to the bugs we could catch, along with toads and frogs. However, one older neighbor had an interest in snakes and spiders and he allowed us to use one of his snakes (I hate snakes and was really glad that it was in a glass cage). He also had managed to get a tarantula spider which we also displayed. (more…)
The Difference Between Praise and Worship
When the weather is nice, when the sky is so blue that even a color-blind guy like me can see how beautiful it is, I like to go walking on the campus at Southwestern Seminary. During today’s walk, for whatever reason, I was pondering my personal philosophy of worship, the answer I might give to a church when they ask what I believe about it. In the process of that meditation, I realized that even though they’re frequently used to mean the same thing, praise and worship are actually two very different ideas. The most basic difference is that worship is based in who God is, while praise is based in what he does. (more…)

How many times in my life I should have stepped out of the boat in faith! This has got to be my favorite NT story of all. This story of Jesus walking on water in the mist of the storm has so much meaning and power in it! It has drastically helped me in my present walk with the Lord. (more…)
Why Christ Died For Us
Why Christ Died For Us
By Dr.Arsenio Esteras, Jr
DOMINUS VOBISCUM!
The doctrine of faith of the whole of Christendom is such that OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST died for all of us. That was how it was taught by all Christian religions. The Son of Man died to save humanity from sin. All Christians followed, believed, and lived such doctrine of faith hook, line and sinker until their last breath. It was all out of love for sinful humanity that He laid down His inconsumable life. Amen! (more…)

The Day I Forgave the Man Who Killed My Entire Family

Is there room in my heart to forgive the man who killed my family in their prime? Does he deserve my love, my sympathy, or even my consideration? Are there some criteria he must meet before I bestow my forgiveness on him? These are the questions I asked. (more…)
