CONFIDENCE BUILDING inspired by Jill Briscoe and myself
By sana edoja
How do we help our children to feel good about themselves! One way is to give them good information. Children who struggle with low self-worth feel unable to love themselves, or they feel they are not loved nearly enough by others. They wrestle with believing that God loves them. They often believe the world in general is against them. In fact, they are often their own worst enemies, accusing themselves of all sorts of inadequacies in the face of the challenges of life. They need biblical information in order to give the Holy Spirit an opportunity to convince them of their worth in God’s sight. (more…)
THE VALUE OF A GOOD DEED
“And the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. Against such things there is no law”.
Galatians 5:22-23
It is by faith that we get salvation. Salvation imbues the Holy Spirit to indwell in us; to teach, guide, and encourage us. Through faith we can do great things, even move mountains (Matthew 17: 20-21). However, often the smallest things with do to show love to others in need are the ones which bring more fully to us the fruits of the Holy Spirit. (more…)
Jesus is asking “What about Me?”
By Rick
Most of our life we have been told to be some body, or make something of self. The world, and unfortunately even some of the church gauge us, by our position, or the amount of riches that we have heaped up in our worldly pursuits. For those of us that have met Jesus, unfortunately many still have accepted this lie and are living the same way. Their focus is “what about me”? (more…)
Ye have copied the world
By jacqui julyan aka shofargirl a servant unto Jesus Christ
Ye have copied the world!
I felt compelled very strongly later yesterday evening by the Holy Spirit to read 1 Corinthians. There were many things that the Holy Spirit drew my attention to but one in particular hit me so hard I knew it was the LORD. Again this morning I felt led again by the Holy Spirit to 1 Corinithians and actually opened up exactly at the same page I had read the evening before and exactly the same place I had read before I retired. I felt very strongly to post this scripture and write just as the LORD leads. (more…)

Galatians 5:16 says: ” walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” But how do I walk by the Spirit? How do my daily actions take on that aroma of Christ, and what does walking by the Spirit even look like?
First, Paul’s guidance here suggests that the reader is actively seeking a way to resist the flesh and that the Holy Spirit is living inside him, so this is not guidance for outsiders or nonbelievers. In fact, before I opened the door to Jesus, I had no real hope of not carrying out my flesh’s desires. My corrupt heart wanted to do them; why would I resist? I needed a new heart before walking according to anything other than my flesh was going to take place, and Jesus accomplished that work once He came in (for more on this idea, see my article titled “The Christian’s Heart”). How to Run the Race Giving No Ground to the Enemy
Have you ever gotten a pep talk from The Coach? A good sport’s coach can challenge and motivate his team players without putting them down but by lifting them up and helping them to stretch to their maximum capabilities. Have you ever thought about how the Holy spirit coaches us, as believers, on a daily basis? Once again he is whispering to our inner ears: (more…)
A Heart With A Mind Of Its Own
By Dale Linton
The heart is an amazing spiritual mechanism. We know this because God has one and we are created in His likeness. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit our heart may be led into purity, but under its own control it is extremely dangerous. Our creator hasn’t left us in the dark concerning what we must know about our heart. Lets see:
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
This Verse Suggests The Following (more…)

Letting Go
By Rick King
Often we can get our self into trouble because we seem to forget some things. We are in the world, but not of it. Our focus gets so on temporal worldly things that we forget that we are a spirit being designed to fulfill a master plan of the Lord. Though we accept Jesus and are born again, somehow we forget that we gave our life to Him to use and do with what He pleases. We seem to get saved but then go about living for self and satisfying our fleshly desires. The Bible says that we are to be crucified with Christ. Crucified means our natural carnal self nature is put to death. Like Paul says, it is no longer I that liveth but Christ that liveth in me. A dead man can’t want things. If we will yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to reign and rule we will find life comes by His Spirit alone. We can have all that the world or flesh has to offer but the problem is we are not really fulfilled or happy. It is only the Spirit that gives to us life. (more…)
What the Devil Does Not Want You To Know
By Rick King
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
We talk often about the fruit of the spirit. We know the fruit of God’s spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5: 22 and 23). This is the fruit of a godly spirit. But what about the fruit of an ungodly spirit? (more…)
In The Body Of Christ

In the Body of Christ the fulfillment lies, the promise fulfilled.
In the Body of Christ God blesses us, God loves us, God protects us, God redeems us.
In the Body of Christ, God’s grace flows unto us, just as if we are Christ Himself, because we are in the Body of Christ. (more…)
Authority in Jesus
By Marijo Phelps
A really short devotional type piece written for you.
When your mind is going FIVE (or more) directions at onceĀ take authority over your mind in Jesus name and command your mind to come into submission to Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Take authority over the things in your life which are defeating you.
Prayer: Father I want to glorify You. I need your help. AMEN (more…)
Standing firm in the Lord, no matter what
By beatrice ofwona
A soldier is trained to fight; a soldier is trained to fight in war. When we get saved we become soldiers of defending the faith. 2 Corinthians 7:11 gives insight of what happens to us but also encourages us to stand firm no matter what. Ephesians 6:12 tells us how our struggles are not against flesh and blood but against rulers of darkness. The Holy Spirit has put a weapon in our hands, his powerful presence, because in salvation we are in warfare. No matter what has happened to us or what we have been through, we serve the ever living God who exists all around us and who is constantly at work in laying a shield of protection over us. (more…)
What is “blaspheming the Holy Spirit,” the unforgivable sin?
By Jim Barringer
One of Jesus’ more cryptic sayings appears in two of the four gospels, Matthew 12 and Mark 3, where he drops a disturbing reference to an “unforgivable sin,” which he describes as “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.” A lot of the Christians I know have wondered – some just once, some in daily terror – whether they have committed this sin, and whether they will find themselves unexpectedly shut out of an eternal reward after a lifetime of following God in vain. I would like to explore the issue a little, using Scripture to define “blasphemy” and then demonstrating that blasphemy against the Spirit is not something any Christian can commit. (more…)
Are We Really People of the Word?
Many years ago just after I had left Bible College, I was Pastoring my first church in Aberystwyth, West Wales. I was invited to come along on the annual Women’s Meeting coach trip. My predecessor had done it each year, so I was informed, and I was expected to do the same. I was quite happy to go along, as it gave me the chance to get to know my congregation and also to met those from other churches who weekly attended our Women’s Meeting from other congregations.
