MAKE YOUR PRAYER PLURAL. part 1
By John Seun
In kindergarten, I was taught that to make a word that ends with “y” plural all I have to do is change the “y” to “ies”. For instance, the plural of fly is flies. Similarly, I can say the plural of “pray” is “praise” (permit me for the grammatical error).
Thank God for prayer but praise work faster. The truth about prayer is that it moves the hands of God but praise moves the heart of God. Which would you prefer?
Prayers can be deferred but praise commands God’s urgent attention. God values the praise of mankind because that is the main reason for man’s creation. In Isaiah 43:7&21 God says (more…)

Trust in God

Proverbs 3:5 tells us “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.” This is probably one of the most difficult instructions to follow. Just why is it so hard for us to totally trust God and stop trying to figure out things for ourselves? We always try to handle things on our own and leave God totally out of the mix. If we would just trust in the God who made us, loves us and has the absolute best for us, we would be so much better off.

Hebrews 11 has been called the faith chapter and rightly so, because it is the one place in the Bible where all the heroes of faith are paraded for us to see.
This chapter has 40 verses, but most of us stop reading at 35. Though these 35 verses are exciting, uplifting and encouraging, the final five verses are also an integral part of the walk of faith. It is in these five verses that the balance in the faith life is brought about. It is in these verses that most Christians will find solace through a major part of their lives.
What happens when our faith is tested in the trials of life? What happens when faith does not alleviate our pain and suffering?
These are questions that gnaw at those who are in suffering, and those who watch others suffer, praying helplessly as it were for the suffering to be alleviated, and quickly moving from pity to condemning or judging the sufferer if it isn’t. (more…)
I Want to Learn Patience – Now!
By Alan Allegra
Let’s start with a quiz. How many New Year’s resolutions have you broken so far? I get trapped in the vicious circle: If I make resolutions, I break them. If I resolve not to make resolutions, then I’ve made a resolution. If I break that, I’ll have to make resolutions and probably break them. I can’t win. (more…)

Isaiah 28:23-29
23. Listen to me; listen as I plead!
This verse is stated as a command. It is saying Hear what I am saying; listen to what I am telling you, Please, (urging to listen, to hear His voice).
24. Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting it? (more…)
