Born Again

Many years ago, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of the water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to the flesh but the Spirit gives birth to the spirit”. (John 3:5).

Seek Ye First

? Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you

Mathew 6: 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

? Key is added. when we seek first Him and His will, He already knows what we have need of and will add all things in His way and time.flesh wants thingsGod says supplies our needs. If we can learn that our true life is in His presence alone, we can walk in victory no matter what we have or don’t have. (more…)

Are You Intimidated?

Do you find it a struggle to maintain your motivation in ministering for the Lord? Do you listen and watch the thoughts and actions of the opposition and get discouraged and want to give up? Nehemiah was confronted with opposition and knows first hand what it feels like. Yet he used it to fuel his determination to finish what God called him to do.

Nehemiah 6:9

“They were just trying to intimidate us; imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination.”

Opposition is a sign that you are doing something right for God. Anything that is worth while in building the Kingdom of God will draw opposition. It is easy to listen to the enemy and start believing the lies he is saying to you. He wants you defeated. His only aim is to bring you down and to stop any advancement. One way the enemy tries to do this is by using people, even Christians, to speak their opinions about the work you are doing. They may or may not even realize how their words can bring discouragement. (more…)

Can You Dig It?

Paul previously made the case that God’s wisdom is not like human wisdom, that the best wisdom, intelligence and scholarship that man has to offer is foolishness compared to God’s wisdom, the wisdom of Scripture. Paul made the case for the necessity of regeneration and/or conversion from the mindset of the world to the mindset of Christ. There are a great many Christians out there that think, just to pray at night just before you go to bed is all that God wants from us. But the truth of the matter is, He wants our memories all day long. Just in the same manner you think of your lover all day long. He refers us as his brides. He is in love with us. Are we in love with Him? Some times in our lives we feel God is a million miles away and doesn’t really care about us anyway. But the truth of the matter is, are we a million miles away from Him? Are we so full of ourselves that we don’t even try to contemplate the wonder, and love of a God like ours, in a child like manner. (more…)
