How God Identifies Himself
“It’s interesting how God defines himself. He told Moses that he is the God of your fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. He did not define himself by his omnipotence or his omniscience but by his personal relationships with these common men.” (http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=11747) (more…)
Spiritual Basic Training: 50 Missions for a Spirit-Filled Life #5
“Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘I will rain down bread from heaven for you’” (Exodus 16:4). Pray for our daily basic needs because God will provide in abundance for us. Pray that our daily needs of food, drink, and shelter are provided to us. We forget how important these essential elements of our daily lives are sometimes. Also, be content with what we have been blessed with. For those of us who are fortunate enough to have enough food on our tables, water in our cups, and a home to sleep in, it is easy to overlook these necessities in life. Many of our brothers and sisters in the world pray sincerely for their daily bread every day. (more…)
The Impact of Christ Death on the Law of Moses
THE LAW OF MOSES WAS ABOLISHED
Following the death of Jesus upon the cross and the condemnation which the Law of Moses brought on him, his Spirit became clothed with filthiness. There was therefore need for him to be cleaned up. (more…)
Nobody Cared
By Fredrick Nicholson
How dare she defile the sanctity of marriage! According to the law of Moses she should be stoned, they said. What do you think, Jesus? Aha! The real motive appears. They really didn’t care about the woman one way or the other. Nobody cared what led her to this point in her life. Nobody cared that she wanted to out of the lifestyle she was in, but didn’t know how. They just wanted to trap Jesus into openly defying the Torah. (more…)
Mankind’s 6,000-year Trial Run
Is Earth only 6,000 years old? Honestly, I don’t believe that it is. However, there is a clear implication that mankind’s period of self-government is to only last 6,000 years (whether lunar or solar is not entirely certain). This testing period follows the same general test periods as Moses and the first three kings of Israel. Just as Moses could not enter into the Promised Land and just as Solomon would be the last king to rule over a United Kingdom, so to must the rule of mankind’s self-governance come to an end. As I like to keep things brief, I will only address certain aspects of this particular question.

It’s time to Shine
Are you shining? I hope so. I’m not talking about putting your charming personality or your splendid talents on display for all to see. Rather, are you allowing God’s glory to shine through your life? Too often we think God’s glory is something mystical or untouchable, something that we have no business even talking about. But this is not so. In fact, we read of one man in the Bible that wanted to know God so intimately that he declared, “Please, show me your glory” (Exodus 33:18), and God honored him by revealing His very nature to him. This man was Moses. (more…)

The Sun was at its scorching peak, beating relentlessly on the soft shimmering desert sand. Centuries of Sun and wind worked persistently turning the once fertile land to endlessly shifting stretching sand, forever changing landscapes.
Not a single insect or a creeping creature dared to risk come out of the shadows to peep out on the burning sand.
Silence so deafening that a cracking rock somewhere deep in the desert due to the intense heat, sends an echo through the length and breath, to and fro till it dies suddenly as it had started.
It’s only the soft crawling sound through the boulders on the treacherous terrain, scampering the snug scorpions and the snakes around, as a sturdy young man tries to seek water and rest, which broke the silence. The young man was crawling, as his feet were blistered and bleeding, the sandals having worn out long time back. (more…)
Healing from Serpent of Brass
By Waqar Daniel
And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. (Numbers 21:6-9) (more…)
Exodus Chapter Six

Moses wanted to know why the Lord has not delivered the descendants of Jacob from their bondage in Egypt and brought them to the land of Canaan. The promise to give the land of Canaan to the descendants of Jacob remains unfulfilled today. The reason it remains unfulfilled today is the same reason why the Lord has not brought the sons of Israel out of Egypt. Moses was under the false illusion that all he had to do is do what the Lord told him to do and Pharaoh would let the sons of Israel leave Egypt. In Moses first encounter with Pharaoh Moses should have learned a lesson we all need to learn in this present age. Pharaoh has his own gods and he considers himself a god and he is not going to respond to the demands of the gods of another nation or the demands of a king of another nation.
What Moses should have done when Pharaoh refused to permit the sons of Israel to go into the wilderness and celebrate a feast to their God, is go to the Lord and instead of questioning the Lord as to why He has permitted harm to come to the sons of Israel and why He has sent him to deliver the Lords’ command to leave the sons of Israel go into the wilderness and why He has not delivered the sons of Israel from their bondage is go to the Lord and tell Him without His help Pharaoh will not permit the sons of Israel to leave Egypt. Without the intervention of the Lord the present situation in the Middle East and world wide will not be brought to a conclusion. It is time for Israel, her enemies, the nations of this earth, the United States of America, and Christianity to wake up; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is about to do what He did over three thousand years ago in ancient Egypt. Miracle Makes No Belief

In Ex 33 God was not pleased with the children of Israel and twice referred to them as ‘stiff necked people’. Ever wondered why?
“Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you.
Undoubtedly, Miracles are great, spectacular, mind-bowing, supernatural, convicting and convincing. But they are not a daily occurrence and we should not expect them daily. God gives miracles when He wants to. He is a sovereign God and does the miraculous according to His will. We need to develop our intimacy with Him and our faith in Him and learn to live by faith, appropriating the promises; obtaining them with the heavenly currency of faith. (more…)
God’s Covenant with Moses

Moses was pasturing the flock of his father-in-law Jethro in the south west part of the Sinai Peninsula on the west side of Horeb, another name for Mt Sinai, when the Lord spoke to him from a burning bush. Here is good news for all the children of God in troubled times. The Lord told Moses He has seen the affliction of His people who are in Egypt and heard their cries because of the taskmasters and has come down to deliver them from the hand of the Egyptians and bring them into a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:7-8).
What is amazing is the Lord is not going to send a company of angels to defeat the army of Egypt and free the sons of Israel from slavery and oppression in Egypt. Instead, He is going to Moses who fled Egypt because Pharaoh was seeking to kill him because he had killed an Egyptian who was beating one of the sons of Israel; as a result Moses spends nearly forty years of his life pasturing a flock that is not his. Moses will wander in the wilderness with his father-in-law’s flock until the Pharaoh who was seeking to kill him is replaced by a Pharaoh who does not know Moses and his past. (more…)

I Want to Learn Patience – Now!
By Alan Allegra
Let’s start with a quiz. How many New Year’s resolutions have you broken so far? I get trapped in the vicious circle: If I make resolutions, I break them. If I resolve not to make resolutions, then I’ve made a resolution. If I break that, I’ll have to make resolutions and probably break them. I can’t win. (more…)
