The Bible is divided into two parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is represented by the country of Israel. The laws of God were given to the Israelites along with the blessings and the covering of sin through the required sacrifices. All the prophecies about Jesus and the end times are also covered in the Old Testament. The New Testament tells of those prophecies fulfilled through Jesus Christ. (more…)

Where does the Allmighty stand on our perseptions of hell?
By paul killingbeck
The requirements of one seeking the truth of God on matters such as hell, takes a well committed individual that seeks God through his word; The Holy Bible. Both old and new Testiments need to be deeply investigated in order for one to get a clearer understanding of God and his desire for his creation to receive righteousness. Not all humankind have the abilities to conceive the wisdom that is offered here. It takes commitment to God through our Lord Jesus Christ, which begins upon what Christians call rebirth. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. From Jesus’ own lips, came the command for those who would overcome the temptations of life by dedicating their love to him because of their new found life of a forgiven sinner. (more…)
To Believe or not to Believe?
By Sandor Balog
Firstly, we should consider the Old Testament (OT) as God’s account of the origin of the earth, life on earth and of the universe. The OT tells us about original sin, God’s judgment and His scheme for salvation to be implemented by Jesus. The OT also tells us about the Hebrews, whom God chose to be His people, most probably for experimental and demonstrational purposes. The main theme of the OT, apart from revealing and praising God and His works, is constituted by God-inspired prophecies concerning Jesus. (more…)

Read It, Believe It, Live It
By Steve Countryman
The Holy Bible has been around for over three millennia. It was written over a 1500-year period by 40 authors ranging from every walk of life including kings, peasants, shepherds, philosophers, fishermen, poets, statesmen, scholars, etc., and written in different locations. God’s Word doesn’t contradict itself. The Old Testament foretells of the coming of Christ. The New Testament tells of His birth through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. It tells how we are to live, believe and act as children of the Most High God. It tells of what was, is and is yet to come and how we will all live in eternity. Through centuries of transcribing, translating into over 2100 languages and found on every continent on the planet, the integrity of the Holy Bible stands as the most accurately reproduced piece of literature ever written. Unfaithful Pastors And Leaders: How Should We Respond To Them
Posted in: bible studies Tags: Apostles, bible, bible studies, New Testament, Old Testament, priests, prophets
Although our natural inclination is to look to our religious leaders for spiritual insight and direction, we should not be surprised to find them adrift in compromise and sin. The Bible reveals that the religious hierarchy has gone astray throughout biblical history. There has been a long line of unfaithful and disobedient priests, prophets, apostles, teachers and ministers throughout both Old and New Testament times; furthermore, we are told that this problem will continue to worsen as we approach the end of time. The Book of Daniel chapters 8-11
The Old Testament Book of Daniel is probably one of the more interesting narratives in the entire canon of Scripture, with the possible exception of the enigmatic Books of Ezekiel, and Revelation in the New Testament. There is quite a remarkable connection between the two books [Daniel and Revelation] because the narratives overlap in several places; especially in these last few chapters. The most notable passage is found in the ninth chapter, which refers to “Messiah the Prince” and most Fundamental Christian Theologians and Messianic Jewish scholarship believe 1 Daniel 9: 24-25 to refer to the person of Jesus [Yeshua] of Nazareth, the holy seed of the Virgin Mary, came into the world around 6 B.C. in the city of Bethlehem, in Judea. And while this is a very convincing and plausible interpretation, yet, the context has to be taken into consideration by reading chapters 8 thru 11, for the most part. (more…)
God’s Guidance (Part 1)
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: bible, christian, Christianity, god, Jesus, Old Testament, Religion, scriptures
Christians are often called ‘people of the Book’, meaning they take the Bible as the authoritative guide for their lives. Many Christians live out their daily walk relying on the Bible to be the Book they can go to for answers. Many believe that the Bible contains guidelines for every possible situation they may encounter. A closer look at this issue would show us this is not quite the case. Let us set aside what we may have been taught, or what we may have heard at some time in our lives, and see what the Bible actually teaches on this subject. (more…)
1 Peter 1:13
By Don Costello
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1. “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind”
a. gird [328 * anazonnymi] [Zodhiates: Occurs only in 1 Peter 1:13, where it is applied to the mind being held in constant prepraration. It is taken from the custom of the eastern nations who, when they had occasion to exert themselves (as in journeying, running, etc.), used to bind up their long flowing garments by a girdle or belt about their hips. [Vine: the Christian is to have his mental powers alert in expectation of Christ's coming.] [Bullinger: to gird up as with a belt.] (more…)
Was Jesus around the age of thirty or fifty during His minisrty?
Was Jesus around the age of thirty or fifty during His minisrty?
By Robert Randle
It is the traditional belief that Jesus [YESHUA] started His public ministry of preaching and healing at the age of thirty which lasted for about three and a half years but only two of the gospel narratives mention anything about Jesus’ age including His trip to the Temple with Mary, Joseph and their relatives at age 12 (Cp. Luke 12: 41-44). Why is it that people are so quick to accept Luke’s version about Jesus’ age when He was not among any of the eyewitnesses and not only that, but since he was a Greek-speaking Gentile it does cause one to question how much access he could have had to Jewish sources that were reliable and willing to share with a foreigner the complete truth regarding their Messiah, as in the following below: (more…)
Yes, Jesus IS the Way
Analyzing Jesus’ words “I am the way” (John 14:6) in the context of the whole Bible means that Jesus is the way for sinful mankind to reconnect with a holy God. This means more than just following the teachings of Jesus. It means that Jesus himself, through His life, death, and resurrection, made THE way for us to be reconciled to God. He makes it possible to have a relationship with God.
Hebrews 10:1-4 tells us that Jesus was the Way for the believers in the Old Testament as well as the New: (more…)
Isaiah 59:15-21
By Fergus Davar
Hello folks, today too I came across some interesting scripture. Let’s check it out.
Isaiah 59:15-21
The Lord has seen this, and he is displeased that there is no justice. 16 He is astonished to see that there is no one to help the oppressed. So he will use his own power to rescue them and to win the victory. 17 He will wear justice like a coat of armour and saving power like a helmet. He will clothe himself with the strong desire to set things right and to punish and avenge the wrongs that people suffer. 18 He will punish his enemies according to what they have done, even those who live in distant lands. 19 From east to west everyone will fear him and his great power. He will come like a rushing river, like a strong wind.

“Job” in the New Testament
By Fergus Davar
Hi people I am writing again. Yes, this to is from a sermon I heard today at Church by a visiting Pastor. The Word today is from the book of Job from the Old Testament of the Bible. I have previously written using extractions from the book of Job but that was on a different topic “God is Sovereign”, this time the aim is to show you how to trust God even in the face of trouble. I will use this man of God, Job for an example. (more…)

Genesis 2: 2-3
And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Is it wrong to use musical instruments in Christian worship services?
The worship of God could not be experienced more profoundly without offering up to Him songs of praise, devotion, love, thankfulness, and reverence for all the many blessings which has been bestowed upon those who are His children. Many Christian Churches have choirs who edify the flock with special renditions of praise through songs they have rehearsed and dedicate to the glory of God, while a few others offer praises to God through songs sung by the entire congregation of worshippers. Yet within the body of Christ there are a small minority who take a theological position that it is “sinful” or without Biblical authority to use mechanical instruments of music in the worship of the Lord God. To these strict interpreters of the Bible, acappela singing is the only acceptable manner that is pleasing in the sight of God. It is prudent therefore to examine the Holy Scriptures to determine the proper guidance in this matter of faith practice. (more…)
