We Reign In Life By Receiving From God

Jesus talks a lot about ‘overcoming’ in life. This side of the cross, we are told that we overcome by receiving from God. The New Testament talks a lot about receiving from God. The Old Testament was just the opposite. It was one of giving to God: obedience by keeping the law, and by repentance, and by sacrifice and offerings. But in the New Testament things changed. As Paul says ‘all things became new’ (II Cor 5:17). (more…)

In creation, God made man in his own image and gave him dominion over the earth realm, having a kingdom as he himself had a kingdom called Heaven. He formed the figure of man from the dust of the Earth and breathed his own life into him. Thus he made a friend that he could relate to, talk and walk with. (more…)
