THE BEAUTY OF BEARING THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22:23.
It is God’s utmost desire for us to be first of all fruitful in life, that is, being full of the fruit of His Spirit in us as He detailed in the book of Galatians chapter 5. It’s important because those virtues depict His image and likeness in us; they vividly express the presence of Jesus living in us. (more…)
A heart after God
2Chronicles 15:1-2 reads:’ The Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded. He went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you”.
It is God’s intention that we may commune and connect with Him. In our relating to Him we are not after something but rather after someone. We are not seeking for miracles, favor, jobs or wealth but rather for Him. We know we are in this place when there is a cry in our hearts, a hunger that consumes us, a thirst that remains unquenched, and a void that seeks to be filled and only He can do this to those He has called to Himself. Philippians 2:13 says, ‘for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose’. How then do we bring change to ourselves as individuals, as a congregation or as a nation in order to get to that point of hungering for God in this way? (more…)
How To Change Your Life
Paul tells us in Ephesians that God will grant you according to His riches in glory, to be strengthened with might by His spirit in the inner man. Strength by the Spirit of God is the most desirable strength. It is not within you to develop this strength through strength training, working out or going to the gym. It is the strength of heart and spirit inside each of us, and it cannot be gained physically. It is a spiritual growth obtained through God. (more…)
Taking the Sword of the Spirit
By Rick King
July31, 2011
Are we taking up the sword of the spirit or our sword? There is truly a difference.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
In the above passage the words say the sword of the spirit. We have been taught that the Bible is the sword of the spirit. This is true but this has a twist to it that if you do not grasp, then you will not walk in power. This is the spirit’s sword, not ours. The Bible tells us that: (more…)
What is your true desire?
A wonderful woman of God spoke a message entitled ‘What is your wants?’ She asked us to think about what we wanted in life? After five minutes of thinking time she then turned the message around to what God wants from us she read the scripture John 4:23-24 ‘Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (more…)
Elements of Spiritual Growth: Making the Relationship The Focus
Posted in: Christian Living Tags: christian, Christianity, god, Jesus, Religion and Spirituality, spirit, spiritual
By Greg Baker
Taking your spirituality to the next level requires certain ingredients. Without these, we can’t achieve the level of spirituality that makes Christianity meaningful and profitable to both the Christian and the Kingdom of God. This element of spiritual growth depends on making the relationship you have with Jesus the focus. (more…)
Born Again

Many years ago, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of the water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to the flesh but the Spirit gives birth to the spirit”. (John 3:5).
Two simple words, born again, yet they are two of the most profound and important words in scripture. (more…)
New Legs
Galatians 5:16 says: ” walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” But how do I walk by the Spirit? How do my daily actions take on that aroma of Christ, and what does walking by the Spirit even look like?
First, Paul’s guidance here suggests that the reader is actively seeking a way to resist the flesh and that the Holy Spirit is living inside him, so this is not guidance for outsiders or nonbelievers. In fact, before I opened the door to Jesus, I had no real hope of not carrying out my flesh’s desires. My corrupt heart wanted to do them; why would I resist? I needed a new heart before walking according to anything other than my flesh was going to take place, and Jesus accomplished that work once He came in (for more on this idea, see my article titled “The Christian’s Heart”). Follow Me
Follow Me

Follow Me
In Exodus 40:36-38 we read about the cloud of the Lord that would guide the children of Israel through all their journeys. And in Proverbs 3:5, 6; we are promised divine guidance as we put our trust in the Lord. God wants us to be in the right place at the right time. Jesus said many times, “Follow me.” In fact, according to John 17:24, Jesus prayed that we could be with Him where is. (more…)
What is The Spirit of A Human Being

Our Spirit; A Third Of Our Makeup
1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Spirit, Soul, Body
The Role of Our Spirit
Our spirit and our bodies have predetermined destinations when we leave this earth:
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Our spirit is our life force and when it is gone we no longer hold residence on this earth. (more…)
The Impact of Christ Death on the Law of Moses
THE LAW OF MOSES WAS ABOLISHED
Following the death of Jesus upon the cross and the condemnation which the Law of Moses brought on him, his Spirit became clothed with filthiness. There was therefore need for him to be cleaned up. (more…)
Saving Our Spirit and Our Soul
(A reminder for the beginning Christian, including myself)
Within each person lies a spirit and a soul. Both were given by God, and both have different functions. The spirit, or pneuma, is our whole essence, the “breath of life” through which we were created. Through our spirit, we are connected to God’s spirit and are able to feel His presence. In contrast, the soul is a part of our spirit, and it contains and defines our personality, meaning our intellect, our will, and our emotions. (more…)
How to Run the Race Giving No Ground to the Enemy
Have you ever gotten a pep talk from The Coach? A good sport’s coach can challenge and motivate his team players without putting them down but by lifting them up and helping them to stretch to their maximum capabilities. Have you ever thought about how the Holy spirit coaches us, as believers, on a daily basis? Once again he is whispering to our inner ears: (more…)
Letting Go
By Rick King
Often we can get our self into trouble because we seem to forget some things. We are in the world, but not of it. Our focus gets so on temporal worldly things that we forget that we are a spirit being designed to fulfill a master plan of the Lord. Though we accept Jesus and are born again, somehow we forget that we gave our life to Him to use and do with what He pleases. We seem to get saved but then go about living for self and satisfying our fleshly desires. The Bible says that we are to be crucified with Christ. Crucified means our natural carnal self nature is put to death. Like Paul says, it is no longer I that liveth but Christ that liveth in me. A dead man can’t want things. If we will yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to reign and rule we will find life comes by His Spirit alone. We can have all that the world or flesh has to offer but the problem is we are not really fulfilled or happy. It is only the Spirit that gives to us life. (more…)
Jesus Has His Hands Raised
By Rick King
Have you ever cried out to God for Him to come into your life or meeting and be in charge? Have you ever wanted Him alone to run things?
Some time ago we were having prayer meetings in the morning then a fellowship and Bible study in the evening the same day. I am one to pray in the spirit till the Lord shows me what to pray. This particular time I had heard many at some point asking the Lord to come and lead the times we had. Yet, it seemed that there was always an agenda of some person that seemed to dictate what always took place in the meeting. (more…)
