Jesus Has His Hands Raised
By Rick King
Have you ever cried out to God for Him to come into your life or meeting and be in charge? Have you ever wanted Him alone to run things?
Some time ago we were having prayer meetings in the morning then a fellowship and Bible study in the evening the same day. I am one to pray in the spirit till the Lord shows me what to pray. This particular time I had heard many at some point asking the Lord to come and lead the times we had. Yet, it seemed that there was always an agenda of some person that seemed to dictate what always took place in the meeting. (more…)
Being a dwelling place for God
In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His spirit. Ephesians 2:21-22
God consistently wants us to lead a holy life so that He can boast about us to the devil. The book of Ephesians is primarily about the kind of people God wants us to be so that He can make a dwelling in us. It was appropriately written for people who were originally dead to matters concerning Christianity. The book of Romans 6 tells us how a mind that is controlled by carnality is a dead one. It is one that refuses to submit to God and can neither corporate nor work with Him. (more…)
Exercise Self Control
By Cindie York
Titus 2:12 (NLT)
And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with self-control, right conduct, and devotion to God.
Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance and patient endurance leads to godliness. (II Peter 1:6) Self-control is also a fruit of the Spirit and those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh and its passions and desires. The Bible tells us to walk in the Spirit and to live in the Spirit. (more…)

Choosing God No Matter What
Have you ever had one of those times where two things you’re reading suddenly make more sense combined with each other than they did separately? I had one of those a couple of days ago. The two things I’m talking about would be Galatians 5:22, the fruit of the Spirit, and the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey, a business-success manual.
The first “habit” that Covey speaks of is called “being proactive.” He observes that many people in the world make decisions not based on what they want to do, but on what is thrust on them. You’ve heard these people, probably. “I have to pay the bills, I have to go here, I have to do this.” There are so many have-tos that it’s almost as if life is living them rather than vice versa! How To Know The Will Of God

This is a question every serious Christian has asked God in his lifetime . Many of us ask the Lord for His will in our lives almost on a daily basis. Out of a sense of gratitude perhaps, we now would like to offer ourselves to the Lord to see what He would have us do with our lives. Perhaps even, the more we love Him the more we would like to please Him & do what He wants us to do. Many expend their entire lives doing many things hoping that it is the will of God & that He will one day say “Well done, my good & faithful servant”.
So then, how can we know the will of God for our lives ? Please bare with me as my answer is not exactly the status quos . (more…)
Miracle Makes No Belief

In Ex 33 God was not pleased with the children of Israel and twice referred to them as ‘stiff necked people’. Ever wondered why?
“Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you.
Undoubtedly, Miracles are great, spectacular, mind-bowing, supernatural, convicting and convincing. But they are not a daily occurrence and we should not expect them daily. God gives miracles when He wants to. He is a sovereign God and does the miraculous according to His will. We need to develop our intimacy with Him and our faith in Him and learn to live by faith, appropriating the promises; obtaining them with the heavenly currency of faith. (more…)

Prayer (The Gift of God)
Father, I thank You that You called me even from my mother’s womb and equipped me for Your service I thank You for the unique gift that You have deposited into this jar of clay.

Engraved upon the palms of God’s Hands
Engraved upon the palms of God’s Hands

What a wonderful sleep I was having that cold morning of December, years ago in the small room I shared with my friend off campus. The compound had no fence but it contained close to fifty rooms similar to mine, all filled with students except for a mother and her newly born baby.
All of a sudden, I was awoken by a scream let out by a neighbor. I got up from my bed and the clock said some minutes past 1a.m. The screaming repeated itself. Now it was followed by a hush from a bolder voice. (more…)

The Works of LeRoy Ramirez, Gabriel’s Prophecy, Part 5 of 8

The Spirit of Antichrist
All scripture is for all time and some is pointedly so. The warnings from God to the priests of ancient Israel are as meaningful today as then. All of Israel suffered when the priesthood sinned because priests were entrusted to minister the power of God for the people. Today, followers of Jesus compose a “royal priesthood” with each individual appointed a high priest enabled with the power of God. (1 Peter 2:9) Jesus entrusts the church, as a royal priesthood, with the power of his Spirit to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God. (more…)

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.
A victorious spirit affects every part of who we are. A victorious spirit effects everything related to us.
A defeated spirit affects every part of who we are. A defeated spirit effects everything related to us.
Let’s see what the word of God says about leading us into triumph. (more…)

Jesus: He Walked Among Us by Karin Peavy
The name above all names is Jesus (see Philippians 2:9). This high standing was given to Him by the Father because Jesus accomplished what no one else could. What did He accomplish?
1. He resisted sin.
Jesus was tempted in the same areas we are, yet He never made a mistake (see Hebrews 4:15). Think about the phrase “all points” for a minute. This verse is telling us that that every temptation common to man including lying, stealing, bad thoughts, anger, etc. was thrown at Jesus. Yet He never fell for any of it. (more…)
