The Web as a Resource for Religious Advice

Along with politics, you may have heard your mother refer to religion as an impolite conversation topic. People’s views on the subject vary greatly, yet they are equally passionate about those views. Thus, discussion on this topic usually turns into anything but a discussion.

When we are so passionate, and we have so much to say, why do we have to bottle it up? Is there a venue for those of us who would like to express ourselves? Is there somewhere we can learn from others?

A great place for this kind of expression is the web. Using an anonymous advice forum as the example, here’s why we believe the web is the perfect outlet for honest conversations on a topic like religion-

Free advice sites draw people in who want to discuss. When you approach a stranger out on the streets and bring up religion, they often bristle. This stranger is not prepared to talk about such a personal topic. The key here, is finding people who want to talk, as opposed to forcing people.

An anonymous advice site offers the freedom of anonymity to it’s users. When no one knows who you are, you don’t have to censor your views for the sake of political correctness. You can really express where you stand on a topic, and really get to know how others feel.

Anonymous advice sites list many different thoughts that can splinter into all new discussions. Instead of talking about one topic, you may be pulled into another entirely.

If you’d like to expand your views, try expanding you means of expressing them. Online advice sites for this user, have been a wonderful start. I hope to see you and discuss with you on the site below.
