We are Crossing Over to the Lands of our Promise

Open the waters that stand in my way! Open the waters for me oh Lord, to cross over to the land of my promise. For my enemies are without mercy; my destruction was announced to the four corners of the earth. I am running away from the land that enslaved my dreams. The enemy is closing down on me; with intimidating horses and a speed that I can’t even parallel; I can feel the desperation with every breath I take. I see my enemies raising their swords as they thirst for the blood of my head. Open the waters that stand in my way! Open the waters for me Lord, to cross over to the land of my promise; to the place of possibilities, to my taking over.

Form in me the peculiarity of being your son. I am not a slave of the Egypt of my old days. For I hear the voices of condemnations; the voices of regret, the voices of hopelessness closing down on me. The enemy is after my faith and he desires to discredit my testimony and the truth that I now dearly hold. Confidence almost melts out of my heart; this enemy is too strong for my own natural strength. The arguments of my adversary I am unable to disputeYes! I stand guilty! Open the waters that stand in my way! Open the waters for me Lord, to cross over to the land of my promise.

I don’t know what you are facing today; I don’t know of your struggles and fears; but the Lord is about to give you rest from your battles; He is about to bring you to a season of peace. I see the waters dividing; I am walking on dry land now. The enemy is coming, but will drown on the same waters that are opening up before me. Prepare your psalms to the Lord; give Him praise and lift up your voice to sing a new songwe are crossing over, we are crossing over, halleluiah we are crossing over to the land of our promise.
